MISSION

Our mission as the North Colorado Family Medicine Residency Wellness Committee is to recognize challenges, facilitate improvement, and encourage the holistic well-being of resident physicians within our program. We are dedicated to cultivating an environment that empowers residents to thrive both personally and professionally, ensuring their resilience and fulfillment throughout their training journey.

OFFERINGS & INVOLVEMENT

Provided though our health system:

-Cultivating Happiness in Medicine  program

-Employee Assistance Program (EAP)-counseling services

-Recharge and Relaxation Rooms and Areas

-24/7 workout facility access

-Physician's lounge meals and snacks

-Resident physician food and coffee stipend


NCFM Initiatives and actions:

-Serenity and lactation rooms (one is part of the hospital residency call room, the other is part of the NCFM clinic)

-Sleep rooms

-Outdoor balcony attached to the hospital residency call room

-Yearly residency class retreats

-Monthly wellness didactic sessions

-Balint groups

-End of block social events

-Free afternoon while on inpatient block as intern
