Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Anti-Racism

North Colorado Family Medicine Residency Program is committed to celebrating diversity in all forms. We recognize the importance of a safe and inclusive environment for all patients and staff, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, weight, or other identities. We acknowledge the impact systemic discrimination and social determinants of health have on our patients. We are committed to using policy, advocacy, and education to encourage equity, inclusivity and cultural humility to promote health and wellbeing both in and outside the healthcare system.

The NCFM Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion committee has been actively involved in the process of eliminating opportunities for implicit bias in our applicant review and interview process. The DEI committee is involved in reviewing and revising policies to ensure that the residency experience at NCFM is equitable and anti-racist.

NCFM is committed to recruiting residents and faculty with diverse backgrounds and experiences as well as working to ensure equity for every individual member of the NCFM family. We are committed to creating and sustaining a culture of belonging.
